El Gigantesco Cardón Mexicano, 2022 (Giant Mexican Cardon) acrylic and oil on canvas 48 x 34” This towering cactus in the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix, AZ is over 75 years old and one of the first plants in the garden, transplanted from Baja at 5 feet, they grow up to 60 feet.
